Copyright Procedure

Protecting the creative works and intellectual property of individuals is a cornerstone of innovation and creativity. At Texas Forms Online, we deeply respect and adhere to copyright laws, ensuring that the content shared and utilized respects the rights of content creators and copyright holders. Our dedication to upholding these principles is unwavering, and we are committed to addressing any concerns related to copyright infringement promptly and efficiently.

Understanding Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement occurs when copyrighted material is used, copied, or distributed without the explicit permission of the copyright holder. This can range from text and images to music and software. Recognizing the importance of these rights, Texas Forms Online strictly prohibits the use of copyrighted material without proper authorization.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our website in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us. Your notification should be detailed and sent to our designated agent at dmca@texasformsonline.com, allowing us to address the issue thoroughly and decisively.

Information to Include in Your Notification

To ensure an effective and accurate assessment of your claim, please include the following information in your notification:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Our Process

Upon receipt of a valid copyright infringement notification, Texas Forms Online will promptly investigate the complaint, involving the removal of or disabling access to the material claimed to be infringing. We also reserve the right to contact the poster of such content to provide them an opportunity to present a counter-notice. We undertake every effort to resolve these matters expeditiously in accordance with applicable copyright laws.

Counter Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. Like the initial notification, the counter-notification must be detailed and sent to our designated agent at dmca@texasformsonline.com. It should include substantial evidence that supports your claim of rightful usage of the material in question.

At Texas Forms Online, we pledge to navigate these complex issues with the fairness and thoroughness they deserve. Our goal is always to balance protecting copyright laws while fostering an environment that respects the expression and innovation of content creators everywhere.
